about Jerusalem
Jerusalem is the area on the Western coast of the Jordan River, commonly called East Jerusalem.

It is the holy center for Judaism, Moslem, and Christianity known as the Old City, home to many religious sites including the Western Wall, Church of the Holy Sepulchre, and Dome of the Rock.

The Old City existing today is divided into a Muslim Quarter, Christian Quarter, Jewish Quarter, and Armenian Quarter.

For Judaism, Jerusalem is the holy city that once gathered its disciples at the Holy Temple. It was also the capitol of the Kingdom of Judah. For Christianity, it is the place at which Jesus Christ once preached, was executed, buried, and resurrected. For Islam, it was the place Muhammad experienced his journey to heaven.
